So far, my GP5000s have been roughly similar in durability to my prior set of GP4000SII (no significant problems with flats, etc.). I will note, though, that my 25mm wide GP5000s are heavier than the equivalent size GP4000SII, while also being slightly narrower. Also, they seem to ride a bit softer, but deader, if that makes any sense.

The Continental GP5000 S TR tyre is tubeless ready and compatible with hookless rims. They're very quick – as quick as the previous 5000 TL version – the grip in both the dry and wet is excellent, and side wall protection has been bolstered. However, like their predecessors, they do still appear to be a bit of PITA to fit to certain rims.

Fri Sep 02, 2022 6:56 pm. I run 50 (F) and 55 (R) on a Zipp 303 Firecrest for a 28mm GP5000 STR. 66kg. You can try SRAM's calculator as an alternative too. Sounds fair enough with wide internal rims. I have a 28f and 32r on my 25int 32ext hookless WR50s. (not GP5kSTR) 55psi at each end is plenty of pressure.

nope. this wasn't done in the typical way, that i'm familiar with. there wasn't - for me at least - any kind of pre-launch process, where we media folk get to see the product, ask questions, write our stories, and then we publish at the embargo lift.
